Bio
Luiza Folegatti is a Brazilian artist based in Western Massachusetts (USA). She spent five years in Berlin (Germany) integrating artistic practice, teaching, and social advocacy. Her research focuses on topics about motherhood and migration, and she applies photography, video, performance, and visual anthropology methods. Luiza strongly believes in the positive impact generated by projects that combine photography, education, and community building. She teaches at Bennington College (USA) and also designs and facilitates photography workshops for community spaces, along with community work in collaboration with grassroots organizations.
